CF card not recognized in Ventura 13.1

I recently upgraded my Macbook Pro and iMac to the latest Apple release.
Neither device will recognize a standard CF card. They both will read an SD card and CFAST 2 card, but no recognition of a regular CF card.
Purchased a new reader and got same result. Purchased new card and same result.
Have put in inquiry to Apple but no response.
I can offload images into LRC using cable to camera from my 1DX so is not the card I am presuming.
Disk utility on devices does not see the card.
Any suggestions or resolutions?

Well, I noticed your comment in the Apple Support Community. That's the most likely place you'll get an answer. But did you call Apple's Support Line at 800-275-2273? One of their higher level support people probably knows the answers to this.

I've had them tell me that several times. It just can't be a problem with an Apple product.
