Hi team,
I took this photo recently (on 11-Dec-2022) of a customised car driving by me in a little town called Gore, in Southland, New Zealand. I usually take more notice of the car's make and model when I shot pics of them, but in this case I failed to do that. So I think it might be a Ford Fairlane, 1966-1968 or so, but I am not sure. Anyone have any ideas?
You'll note that it is right-hand drive, being a car in New Zealand and all, although we do have a few imported left-hand drive cars about here in NZ as well.
Oh! And the car's wheels are Foose Wheels. in case you're interested in that little detail.
Comments on the photo itself are also welcome.

It sure looks like a '64 Chevrolet Impala to me but cars from New Zealand and Australia aren't my forte. But I'll bet 5 bucks it's a '64 Chevy.
Chevy, definitely not a Ford. Nice grab shot!
All emblems and style look to be a ‘63 or ‘64 Chevy to me.

It's a Ford
The V8 emblem looks like a Ford & chrome the trim is below the "point" of the fender and closer to the wheel well , Chevy's the V8 is flanked by flags!! the trim is at the point of the fender.

It's a Ford and from what I find on Google the op's id as a Fairline is correct.

Nice shot.
Not a car buff so don't know.
Apparently it is a Chevy.
The V emblem is close, no cigar, to the 64 Chev. The US 64 Chev with a V and no flags depicted a 283ci motor.
Remember, cars from New Zealand and Australia are basically the same but they DO use different emblems. If you compare Paul's original photo to the two photos that I included I think it's pretty obvious that the silhouettes of the cars are identical. The bumper, the wheel well opening, the windshield and side windows, the center rise in the hood, the rear view mirror, the shape of the front fender, the door handle, everything...IDENTICAL. The only difference is that the bottom crease has chrome and the emblem is different. Paul's photo is a sedan.
The badging on the left rear quarter reads "Impala" with, I believe, the Super Sport insignia.

Ah, yes, thank you.
I know the older Chevs pretty well, 55-59, but my knowledge is not so hot on the Impalas. Looks spot on though.

Thanks. Yep, an Impala. Now it all makes sense.

Argh!
I did wonder about the badge, but the Impala samples posted above look like a good match too.
Bugger it, I wish I had grabbed the Plates because we can look them up in NZ.
