While urging the dog to do her business, I whistled. A Song Sparrow answered and started in with a beautiful, elaborate song. I grabbed a camera and took a few snaps. The Sparrow was deep in the branches-AF took a bit to find the bird through it all.
I find that Song Sparrows respond when I whistle.
