I am really --and I do mean REALLY-- liking #2, good Sir Mangle. It's really pretty great.

It's great enough that I'll toss caution to the winds and risk the slings and arrows of any who may deride me for asking what may be seen as me making an unbidden 'criticism', a question which is this: Had you made any other shots of essentially the exact same scene, but from a slightly different angle? From say, perhaps a foot or so to your left? or in the same spot you stood, but with your camera angled maybe 10 or 15 degrees counterclockwise? If so, I'd really love to see that one, too, and I'd bet others would appreciate seeing it, too.

No I didn't, just shot two frames
I'll look at that in the morning but I think the fence lines will be all wonky

There are these newfangled inventions called 'slippers', Mangle. I recommend the ones that L.L.Bean sells (I've had mine for maybe a decade, and I wear 'em almost every day), but there might be other makers whose slippers are almost as good. Rain, shine, snow, summer, winter, whatever, slippers'll get you that few feet out the door --or a whole lot further if you've a mind-- and get you the shot you really want. Pj's or not.

I confess that I'm aware of that --aware of your actual name I mean, not that I know you hate slippers, which I surely didn't know--, Mangle, but if it's okay with you, and if it isn't too much of a bother, I'd like to continue using 'Mangle' when I address you or one of your images. Frankly, it's got a kind of je ne sais quoi ring to it, and sais quoi-nesses in all their many guises appeal to me.
