Jordan dam - NC.
Went to photograph eagles, it was a clear and sunny day, the engineers had let excess dam water out due to high levels after the weekend's rain causing turbulence near the dam and more fish. But no eagles showed up. Got some GBH and gull shots instead.
For the gull and the GBH-with fish shot, I used the Nikon 200-500 mm f/5.6 paired with the TC 1.4 iii for more reach, mounted on the D500. It could not focus fast enough even on gull BIF shots. The GBH dive shot was taken earlier - with the 300 mm PF + TC 1.4 iii.
Regarding the GBH-with-fish shot, the bird could not 'tackle' the big fish and eventually threw it back into the water.
