Another shot from last summer. An old Datsun.
Yes, there are no old Datsuns - they morphed.
Takes me back. I had a Datsun 210, and then upgraded to a 310 after the 210 was totaled! Thx for posting.

I know I'm a geezer, but I feel even older now since it's like I just saw those everywhere - and it's 50 years 😨😨😨
I remember when the 240Z arrived in the US in 1970 for about $3500.

I bought my first new car- 1972 canary yellow Datsun 510 4 speed, for $1999. Loved that car but it rusted out after a few years. The other choice at the time was a VW Karmann Ghia. Loved that too, but it sounded like a loud lawn mower. Gas was 28.9/gal.
Had a 1980 280Z, fun car, but the Wisconsin winters were tough on the metal. Had to restore it twice..oh, great image😊.

I remember a neighbor bought one and all the people could say was "who buys a Japanese car?"
I remember wanting a Datsun 240Z. The best I could do was a 260Z. It was a fun car but impractical for a family. Now they are called Nissan!
The 240 and the 260 were awesome cars. If I remember right they pushed Datsun to the front in the automotive world. Things were changing for the "big 3". The imports were taking a slice of the pie
