I first saw a Eurasian Eagle Owl a couple years ago and have a couple quick and dirty by chance photos.

Today I got a much better opportunity by donating $45 to a rehab facility fund raiser. Got up a 5:30 AM to get there by 8:00 ! An impressive/gorgeous creature ! About twice as big as a GHO !

Sony A99 and Sony 70-400 G II @ 400mm f5.6, ISO 800 from monopod. Lighting was early morning medium overcast in partial shade wooded area. DOF is razor thin at the relatively close distances ! Very little if any cropping .....

A special thanks to ALL for stopping by and to comment ! .....Larry
