Ivy growing in my yard and on my oak tree that will soon be cut off. Years ago I had it killed off but some remained in a neighbor's yard and being the neglectful people they were they let it go and now it's invading me again. Time to get out the clippers and go to work...but it is pretty.

Ivy, IMHO, is always so photogenic, and here, you have captured it beautifully in both color and B&W 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿

Pretty shots but Ivy is terribly invasive if you let it get started. For a small infestation I prefer Roundup and a paint brush
Thank you, Crrmudgeon!! I use Roundup mixed with dishwashing liquid. The dishwashing liquid breaks down the waxy coating so the Roundup can do its thing.
The ivy against the tree trunk is really appealing. We'll, all the photos are. I agree that ivy is quite photogenic and also a damned nuisance. I too have a hard time keeping mine at bay because it's so sneaky.

Thank you for looking and commenting, SW!! It got into a tree that was taken down by a hurricane several years ago and I'm sure the vines helped bring it down. Since then I've been at war with it and had it gone on my side but the nasty neighbors that lived next door didn't do much to take care of the yard. I can only hope whoever moves in next will do better.

We'll me too, then. You wouldn't think ivy would be a problem in New Mexico but believe me, once it finds a spot it likes--in this case, my front yard and the entire north side of my house--it takes off. Literally; it was taking the stucco off the house.

Great images!!! I find that giving them a drink of cider vinegar and dish detergent after you cut them keeps them at bay for a good while,

Thank you, Frank!! I will certainly give that a try; with Roundup being a health issue I would prefer an alternative. If the beast can't be tamed with the vinegar it will be back to the Round up.
I use the (cut and kill ) method to get ride of it forever. 1 Cut it off 4-6 inches above the ground, 2 use a eye dropper to put 2 or 3 drops of gasoline on the cut end toward the ground. This will go to the roots and it is NO MORE !!!
