I have to work hard to keep my weight under control being married to a gourmet cook for 54 years!

I'll take two, air express. Or I guess the recipe will do. Please!

My wife complains the frozen ones don't taste as good as they used to, and the filling is mostly gravy now.

Well, one market carries a premium brand whose name escapes me now that taste great but my wife says she can buy a turkey for the price of a few of them.

Your wife is correct. I'll get the recipe and post it.

Here is the recipe she used, except that she cut up a turkey breast instead of using chicken.

3 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. flour
1 cup chicken stock
1 1/2 cups milk
4 cups vegetables (various, raw or cooked, diced carrots, celery, onions, potatoes, broccoli, or cauliflower; sliced mushrooms, peas, corn, halved green beans, spinach, cooked beans)
2 cups cooked chicken (shredded, or turkey, or sausage, or pork, or beef…)
salt
pepper
1/2 pie crust (recipe)
1 egg
