Hello everyone,
Here is a photo I decided to take of our rental car when we took a photo stop on the road by a bridge over a river. At Oreti River that is, when driving from Dunedin airport to Te Anau on State Highway 94 on 3-Dec-2022.
Yes, the weather was fine there, but we ran into some rain further up the road, as the photo shows.

Nice contrasts, Paul!
Thank you. The PP helps achieve that.
Looking at some foreboding weather Paul. Good capture.

Thanks Don. Yes, some foreboding weather for a while indeed, but it cleared up again by the time we did our next stop. You have to expect four seasons and wide weather variations all in one day almost every day in that part of the world though.
I did that route about four years ago. As an American who hadn't driven on the "wrong" side of the road since Japan a lifetime go, I came very close to wiping out my wife and I and the oncoming car when we pulled off the road for a minute for a photo and then back onto the road after looking in the wrong direction! (How is that for a run-on sentence!)
A beautiful country that I would like to see again with more time to spend site-seeing!!
Great shot BTW!

Yes, it's very easy to forget which side of the road to stay on.
Thanks for the compliment.
