Gulls Over Belfair State Park 1-14-2023

Rain stopped for a while, so we took the dog to Belfair State Park for a quick outing. 50 F lite breeze, tide was just going out. Mostly clear with a few wispy clouds. Few birds when we arrived, but gulls, ducks and crows flew in while I watched and photographed. No eagles were evident-not sure why the gulls flushed but they flew close-by so I managed a few snaps of the gulls on the wing. Caught one shaking off the water it was using for a bath. This is the outflow area for Big Mission Creek, after the recent heavy rains, the water is running fresh and clear. The birds seem to enjoy bathing in the clean water.
