A painted piece of aluminum isn't good enough for some states, so they are going digital. What could go wrong? Well, someone could hack the company that has all the data. They did it as a test to see if it could be done. Really? If a nuclear powerplant can be hacked, a license plate company is probably no better off. I just hope we have a choice of using them or not.

As low as $24.95/mo. Of course, that's just for the plate. You still have to pay annual registration. My fit costs $26/year for registration.

I can see more problems than a speckled pup has ideas with this!!!!
And where will the "Plate" be displayed ?
How will Law enforcement read the plate before the car is stopped?

I have our dog micro-chipped. Here in the county that I live in in Pennsylvania, that qualifies you for a life time dog license. Since We are also senior citizens we get a discount. The life time license was $21.50.

Yours doesn't? We've always had licenses for our dogs. I have to remove the plate when they poop, but otherwise, they get used to it. $6 a year.

$26 isn't bad, my reg says 28, but the bi-annual bill is about $136, NYC fee is part of it an extra $15 per car per year to drive on streets with potholes but we do have bike lanes!!!

Lol
Most cities in Missouri require a dog license and the state requires proof of rabies vaccination
But I have never heard of a county dog Lic.
The three counties I have lived in don't even have leash laws.

So that $25/month is in addition to the state's yearly registration fee?
Not for my cars.......

Yes it does. Actually, the state requires a dog license but it is issued through the county.

Yup.
And Vet records ARE checked by the state....
(We didn't give a copy of the license to the vet one year, so when they were audited, we had to FAX a copy to the vet so we wouldn't have to pay the "no-license penalty".)

My registration costs $52 for two years. The State Inspection has gone up to $21. I remember when it was $3.00.

I pay the town clerk, but it's a State Dog License. If I need a replacement "coin," it costs $15.

Oh well I have never licensed a dog even when I lived in the city.
