The jigsaw puzzle I bought my wife for Christmas proved quite a challenge but, never one to give up, she’s finally mastered it! You may recognise the image as one of my composites. I should have added something - a texture or pattern - to the plain areas of the background, it involved trying each piece in turn rather than matching any part of a picture. Very laborious and something I wouldn’t personally have the patience for, my name NOT being Job!

" Very laborious and something I wouldn’t personally have the patience for, " Wow, I agree with that statement. This is a task that an AI robot would finish in a moment... Now if the box contained bits from a crumbled 5000 year old scroll then that is worth while... JIXIPIX has a program to make your photos 'look' as tho they were jigsaw puzzles.

"jigsaw puzzle I bought my wife for Christmas proved quite a challenge but, never one to give up, she’s finally mastered it! " Young men could use jigsaws to sort out a good mate who has calm and patience.

It is good to share stories with fellow UHH people... shared stories are a very human interaction. Thank you for a warm story magnetoman

Thanks Don, good to have your thoughts on it. Of course we did have our very own jigsaw maker here on UHH a while back - he became quite prolific once he’d been kicked off!

I agree about not having the patience to assemble this image. But congrats to your wife for getting it done. I think if you added a texture that could be grounds for divorce.

You’re right Frank, it a bit borderline even now!

HA HA - thanks for the trip down memory lane, Dave. Let's hope no one asks who, what or why

Excellent tip about the same-toned pieces for anyone wishing to make a puzzle of their own work. Fun that you shared this result. Thanks to the other Linda for playing along!

Once met never forgotten, eh Linda?
I think TOL actually enjoyed the challenge, it’s some form of self-flagellation I reckon!

Quite an amazing thing! Very impressive all around. And now we see your copy camera expertise which is no mean feat when it comes to copying shiny puzzles.
