Winter on the Etchemin River

A short drive from home, but about a 1 & 1/2 mile hike in on a rather poorly defined and somewhat treacherous winter trail. Low, afternoon sun made for some harsh shadows.

Thank you, Mike! It's been quite a while since I've been out. I tell myself that it's the conditions, but, then again, maybe I'm just getting old.

Mike, you might be interested in this. I saw today that Mont Ste. Anne Ski Resort has opened after being closed since early December. There was some kind of accident where I believe that one of the cars on a lift had fallen to the ground, so the government shut the whole operation down until it was repaired and everything safetied.

Mont Ste. Anne is the only place I was ever stopped in a ski lift and had to be evacuated.
