I have noticed lately that my internet speed was slowing down so I ran a speed test on it and it came back with a download speed of 51mbps. I went in and unplugged my modem and router for about 10 to 15 seconds and then plugged them back in. After they got reconnected I ran another speed test and my download speed is now at 229mbps, almost five times faster. Just thought I would pass this on in case your internet is slowing down. A simple and easy fix.

Doing a power cycle on your Internet/Cable modem is a good practice regardless of what ISP or Modem you have.

Can't speak for the ISP, but you have a good modem...
I have noticed the same thing. Periodically I turn off my router and modem for 15 seconds.
I am a snowbird so I can’t power cycle my modems manually when I am away. My solution was I purchased a couple of 7 day timers and set them to power cycle the modems in the middle of the night once a week. This has resolved several issues for me since I have cameras and Wi-Fi thermostats at both homes for monitoring the home while away.

Thanks for this tip. It works
I can't speak for either; however, I can speak of my experience. I was having problems requiring the frequent resetting of my modem. When the connection slowed down, I went to the ISP website and looked at the list of supported modems and routers. Mine which had been supported were no longer listed. I replaced them with a Netgerar Nighthawk. I have had no problems requiring me to reset the new gear since last December when I upgraded to the Nighthawk, and the download speed improved from 82 mbps (before slowdown speed) to 850-960 mbps (920 Just now).
I have Rise Broadband and the download speed is 43 Mbps... but the bandwidth I was told is 1G. I have no problem with connection speed. Then again the antenna is across the street. When the tech installed it he said he could not point the receiver directly at the transmitter or it would come in to hot.
