If you have a Z9 you should note that the Westcott FJ400s, FJ200s and FJ80s will only shoot manually. This means no TTL and no High-Speed Sync. They have had enough time to work on a firmware fix but when I spoke to them they didn't seem to care a lot. I don't know about the other Zs but I imagine they are probably similarly configured.

Westcott is a high end light modifier company first. Their strobes have always been a weak point. But if you need rock-solid umbrellas, soft boxes, stands, reflectors, scrims, and other non-flash studio lights, they sell first rate gear!

Lack of a mechanical shutter will require flash makers to write some new code.

I have two FJ400 strobes. I also have a Canon 6d Mk II. It took them over a year to update the firmware to accommodate my camera. They work just fine and I am also using them in manual mode to do more creative setups. They are very good and worth the time to learn to use them. My advice is to bide your time and in the interim, learn how to use them in manual mode. While it was inconvenient and I shot up a lot of "film" learning the ropes, I am all the better for learning how to run out of TTL mode.

My problem is they don't HSS with the Z9, Z7ii and Z6ii. I almost never shoot TTL.
