Nice!! I love the deep roar of a muscle car!! I can't stand the whiny din from the "souped up" imports that are the envy of today's youth; they sound like weed whackers.

If you ever get to FL stop on I-75 at Don Garlit's museum to see an AWESOME display of 426 Hemis and muscle cars, Swamp rats etc... A really cool place to visit; unbelievable how large a fully blown 426 Hemi is sizewise.

Amazing the sound that a full blown hemi makes! Even at 1/4 mile way

I have to agree, there are young guys at my job who have those buzz saw cars. They are pretty cool in their own right, getting that horse power out of a 4 cyl engine. Nothing beats cubic inches, and the feeling in your chest as when one of these muscle cars cruises by.
Car shows that I attend are making room for these newer cars.
That's a very nice shot of a very quick car. A couple of things, I'm trying to conjure an image of a 1946 Sport Fury convertible modified to hold the 426 Hemi (aka "The Elephant"). On the Friday before Labor Day at the Indianapolis track (formerly Indianapolis Raceway Park or IRP) they hold the Hemi Shootout. 16 qualifying 60 and 70s Darts, Dusters, Cudas. Fun event, generally run around 9.5 at 140+ mph.
If you want to know how loud a hemi can be (and never hear again) attend an NHRA Nationals and don't use ear protection for the top fuel and fuel funny car elimination rounds. 12,000 hp from 500 cu in is LOUD. They run only 1,000 feet at 330 mph in 3.7 seconds. They need that extra 320 feet to slow down.
Oooh, I think I felt a stirring. 😉😉

I see your Dyslexia is still acting up. Aside from that your '64 Sport Fury must have been quite a car.
I'm a big fan of Mopars.
