1. Place in camera mode:
2. Settings GEAR icon top left corner
3. Select "Picture formats" (about 3/4 way down screen)
4. Turn on "RAW copies"

Works with camera in "PRO" mode ONLY (located under "MORE")
It will now save both a jpg, and a DNG copy!

Thanks for the reminder, I did read that in the specs. I don't plan on any under water shooting. But I do have my phone in a 'waterproof' case, if the need arises...

Have you checked to see how much bigger the file size is when shooting in RAW. On my IPhone 13 Pro Max, there is a significantly increase in file size when shooting in RAW.

Indeed there is a SIGNIFICANT increase in file size,; it actually makes 2 files! The 'normal' jpg at about 3.72 MB, AND a DNG file of approx 23.4 MB! Total of 27.11 MB per photo. Better have a large storage capacity card if/when using this setting!
I just checked my available capacity, I have available 50.3 GB, which would allow me to take/store approx 1863 additional photos (with 1 each of jpg, and DNG). ... and I need to empty my 'trash' (78MB), lol. I have it set to automatically delete trashed files after 30 days.

I have an Icon on the top of my IPhone Camera app that allows me to turn on or turn off RAW image. I usually have it turned off unless I am thinking about using that image for more idepth editing. In my Camera settings I have the ability to choose these formats for shooting:
1. High Efficiency: Which shoots in a reduced file size it gives me a 1.7mg file.
2. Most Compatible: Which gives me a 2.5mg file
3. Raw: Approx 25mg file.

I have 256 gig of storage on my phone so I usually don't worry about the file size.

I looked up the specs on the Samsung Galaxy S20. You can put a MicroSD card in it up to 1TB!

I have 128 gig's, which is plenty for me (room for 2,000 Photos should be plenty!), as I don't use my cell a lot for photography. I wanted enough to do when I don't have my Nikon's with me.
With my cell, I can't place a dedicated icon for the 'PRO' setting on my main screen, but it is now in the camera settings in a much more accessible location.
Glad I started this thread, it got me to looking into my cells' settings, and capabilities.

LOL, I hope to never need that much space on my phone! ... but then and again, you just can never tell whats in the future! The sales lady did mention the 1TB to me, when I was looking at it.

Wow, That's amazing. I wish my IPhone had the ability to add a micro-SD card .

That was one of my original considerations/requirements when looking for a cell phone. I am surprised at how large they are available now! That 1TB could hold a tremendous amount of photos!
