Enjoy watching ducks do their thing.l. First would be my fav. When they are preening like this, sometimes they will start dunking themselves in the water. Be prepared for a wing flap just after the dunking session. There can be some good opportunities, but you need to be ready. Looks like you are having fun "with the birds".😊

So this is probably a very common duck. Being new to birds, or at least a trip mostly dedicated to birds I just found ones I liked or gave me a nice pose. I thought these two were quite pretty and a couple nice poses.
I suppose a serious bird photographer would not like the ones without the face showing, I just liked the feathers!
Hope you enjoy and bird photographers, feel free to critique!
i like the whole quacky set...beautiful lighting, and lovely closeups of those colorful feathers.

Exultant photography! What's not to like?
I suppose it would be fair to say that American Wigeons are common, at least in some places, such as here.
At least they are when compared to Ducks such as Cinnamon Teal or Barrows Goldeneye.
I don't know if I would rate as a serious bird photographer but I am serious about photographing birds.
I like all of the photos you posted here.
Ducks got me started on a life long passion for birds, and in time, photography.
They are so colorful and so vibrant.

Thank you, I think I will still enjoy the furry animals best, but I really enjoy birds as well! If it is pretty I like it!
Pretty sure we have the Goldeneye. Not sure the exact kind if there is more than one!
