I spotted this large Eagle on a power pole just ahead of me.
I was driving on a two lane paved road and was lucky there
was enough room on the shoulder to pull over and get a few shots.
Nice surprise to start the New Year.

Thank you Larry. I've posted Golden Eagles a few other times here on
UHH. It was the same time of year, winter. They do move down from the
mountains when the snow gets deep. This year has been been great for
the ski area's and the western US can use all the runoff the Colorado River
can provide the downstream water users.
Golden Eagles are a great find wherever and whenever they are. I have yet to get a good shot of one!

Thank you Jeff. I was lucky to spot the Eagle and enough time
to spot a place to pull over. I shot for only 15 seconds, traffic came
by and the Eagle took off, butt shots.
