My understanding is that they migrate up to Bar Harbor in June; I am planning at least a one week trip to shoot the puffins, nad head down the coast. Was this guy a straggler ?

Beautiful! Nice work with the exposure, which can be difficult on these high contrast deep white, deep black subjects.
