My understanding is that the adults will leave the chicks for extended periods of time while out at sea searching for food. Left alone only to have some photographer come along and take their photo. This one never moved. If you love birds and want to photograph them, go to the Galapagos.

Cool shot! Looks like a sunny day. Why such a high ISO? I'm guessing the f/4 with the extender??

Sorry, that was a typo. The iso was 400. Yes, it looks like it was pretty bright. Thanks for asking.
