I have an iPhone 13 Max with an Otterbox case on it. I received a Vortex Razor 50mm 11X33 monoscope for Christmas. So I'm looking for an adapter that will enable me to hook my iphone to the monoscope so I can view thru the iphone and also take pictures on my iphone using the monoscope as a lens.
I've googled this, looked at reviews that are mixed. I just purchased Celestron NexYZ adaptor, but I am struggling to get it to line up properly. So if anyone out there has a setup similar to mine and has an adaptor that works, I would like to know which brand it is.
Thank you.

Did you remove the camera from the Otterbox?
Most add-ons only work with the bare camera.
No, I have not. Would prefer to keep my Otterbox, but maybe I have to give it up?

Remove it from the Otterbox when you take the camera shooting?
(My phone is in an Otterbox also.)
Ok, I'll give that a try. Thank you.
I was in Yellowstone a few years ago and talked to a guy that was using a spotting scope and his IPhone to take upclose Photos of Bears. He had some amazing shots. He showed me how the phone attaches to the scope. They mention Otterbox cases on the site:

I bought one of the Gosky adaptors to put my iPhone onto a Swarovski Scope. It takes a bit of getting used to, mainly making sure it is tightly attached to the iPhone. I attach mine with the phone case still on the phone. I believe is is about the same as a 3600mm lense. Because of the crisp clarity of the scope, the photos can me excellent! I once ran into a photographer whose photos taken with that combination were the cover photo on a magazine. Good luck with yours.

Agree.
I actually broke the camera in my Motorola X4 with a clamp- on lens going over the case...

Thank you. I may try a Gosky case.

Thanks for your reply. I've looked at those already, but did not want to replace my Otterbox. I think the phone scope requires using their case. Didn't want to do that, but may have to reconsider.
Well, I think SOMEONE should design a Rugged Cellphone Case WITH a 1/4" Metal Threaded Tripod mount. Possibly also provisions for external lens/Telescope use.

Give it up. Otterbox is too bulky.

Don't have a 3D printer.
Looking for Ideas that could be put into a good design...
?Built in mount for External Lenses?
The 3 & 4 Lens Phones will probably have to keep them available directly.
