I love the artistic side of photography, as well as scenic landscapes. I also like taking photos of interesting subjects, and then using them as guides for doing oil paintings. I've also done weddings, and senior high school photos, but that was too much like work.

Welcome to the site DixieLee,
The 3 photos you posted are great but I really like #1. Love the warm color, the leading lines of the fence moving diagonally across the frame, and the placement and starkness of the silo. Really nice stuff.

Thank you for the compliment. I went down A old dirt road and about got stuck in the ruts getting to this place but that is half the fun.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked them. On # 3 I had never seen such dark rain clouds and the sun shining so bright. I just had to take a picture of it.

Don't want you to get home sick so I'll send some more pictures. If there been a old tractor there I would have pushed it in the picture. I can put one there in photoshop if you really want it .

thats all right about the tractor. I am not a farmer nor raised by one but there is something indescribable about the mid west farm land that just speaks to me. Farms in florida and georgia look so alien to what im used to. There is something comforting about your photos. I am a big photography as an art form to express emotions kinda guy, and your photos have a quality that touches me, kinda like the feeling you get when looking at a norman rockwell print.

WOW! What a compliment! I'm (almost) speechless! Thank you! Here are three more pictures for you. The first one I was driving home and looked far ahead down the country road, and there was the water tower of my small town, framed in the sunset. The second picture speaks for itself, but don't fuss at me for it being centered! The last picture is a reflection of a tree on a pond. There is only one real leaf floating on the surface of the water. Can you find it?
