This image may not belong in any category. But I like the way it turned out and wanted a place to show it. The image was created entirely in Photoshop without the use of a camera. I have been thinking about doing some Native American style artwork for some time. This is my first effort. Comments, thoughts and complaints are all welcome.

Absolutely beautiful. Creating images from scratch can be both fun and frustrating. The only complaint I have is personal, I don't like frames. That being said, if you must frame it I think the frame matches the image perfectly.

This section is digital artistry, so I think you picked the right thread. Very creative, and I don’t think you went overboard with the design.

I am interested in from scratch digital art and I appreciate your creativity. This does have the feel of "tribal" art and the colors support that. You are in the right section, and I look forward to seeing more and hearing more about what you care to share about your workflow.

Thank you Rockdog and to all who have left a comment. It's interesting how a piece of artwork evolves. It may be different with everyone. I began just wanting an image of a dragonfly with some Pacific Coast Native American type designs. I came up with the attached primarily using the line tool and the shape tools in Photoshop and bending the lines to my liking. I filled in the spaces with colors. Then I started to play with the image using various Photoshop filters (polar coordinates and solarize to name two) which changed the colors and the shape. The whole process took me quite a while and I intend to try again soon (a hummingbird or an eagle perhaps).

A techniques potlatch! Thank you saxman71. If the northwest coast folks would have had our digital color palette, they would have made great use of it, I'm sure. Come to think of it, they may be doing so as I write. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts.
