Actually I just get Duracells.
Never had a problem with them.
And years ago they lasted longer than other brands.
So I simply stayed with them.

I've trusted Duracells for years. Never a problem. No need to try anything else.

Rayovac, manufactured by Energizer, (look on side of battery) lasts as long as others and is less expensive due to minimal advertising.

For NiMH batteries what is more important to me is how fast they lose their power unused. And for that I must say Eneloop is the best.

Recently I've been using Harbor Freight batteries, not in camera stuff but in most every thing else, price difference make up for any shorter life, not that I've noticed any less life. Frequently battery lights got left on and forgotten around here. Did have Ikea batteries they worked well too, even had their rechargeable.

Do you know or heard of rechargeables eventually leak like disposable batteries?

Eneloop rechargeables. Last a decade or so. Hold a charge while in storage for at least a year. I can't imagine a reason to buy throw aways.

If this doesn't load, just go to Youtube and check out the several clips of AA batteries by Project Farm. The guy doing the testing is very thorough and spends a lot of time testing batteries. I would trust his results.

Wow! Aside from cameras, I fly radio control aircraft and I'm an instructor for people just starting out. Many transmitters use AA batteries and weak batteries can turn a $500 aircraft into an expensive lawn dart if the signal strength drops off too much. I'll pass this on to the members of my club because students often ask me which battery they should use.

I can't find anything to back that up, so I'm buying by price and capacity. I get 2800 mAh now. Eneloop made a name for themselves by maintaining their charge on the shelf. It seems that others have caught up to them with that trick. Technology changes fast, and what's #1 today can be at the back of the pack tomorrow. Eneloop is certainly the leader in price, so I'm avoiding them.

Although I like watching RC planes, I would never have one. Same for drones. I'd surely crash it. I did have an RC sailboat, and that was fun, provided the wind continued blowing.

I was surprised to see a YouTube channel for RC submarines. Remember the term, "Watching the submarine races" when we were younger? I really enjoyed that.

In my experience here, EBL are quite good, but second best. Eneloop are by far the best on all counts! - (at about twice about twice the price, however)

Eneloop is never the best in term of mAh rating. They are always on the lower side. But that doesn't bother me much as I need its low self discharge rate.

I've been using Eneloop rechargeable batteries for over a decade and found them extremely reliable, fast charging and reasonably priced. I also have used a couple other brands with less longevity and ability to hold a charge when not in use. I'll stay with Eneloops.
