Help with Lightroom 6 Stand Alone

When I upload images to Lightroom 6 it would check the boxes for correct chromatic aberrations and lens profile corrections. It has stopped doing this and I don't know why. I now have to do these functions manually. Having been used to these functions being done for me now I sometimes forget to do them.
Can anyone tell me how to restore this feature?

I wasn’t aware that those functions could be done automatically. I use LR 6 and have always done it manually.

I wonder if it was a preset that got applied automatically at upload and somehow that has been turned off. Check on the import screen, right-hand side and see if that might be possible. I have "sharpen" and "clarity" sliders as an automatic upload preset. It stays in effect until I turn it off.

It sounds as though Import had been set to apply it at import and somehow you had set it otherwise, unless you change your “Apply at Import” (0r whatever it actually it says) it remains the same as last import. You can save a preset for import with settings. But you need to be careful to apply your preset each time.

This is one of the less endearing features of the Import dialogue.

BTW I am a couple of thousand miles west of my computer and LrC so I am depending on my 81 year old memory here. I am lucky if I can remember to send this.

The advice has been to apply these corrections near the end of your workflow because they are compute intensive and applying them at every adjustment is a real performance killer.

Thank you John, Kathy, Chuck and Jack for your comments. I will try to figure it out with my next upload of images. Thanks again for your assistance.
