It looks like this is a very large, widespread storm. It started snowing her about an hour ago - a fine, steady snow. They say the temp will be down to single digits by tomorrow afternoon.

No snow yet here near the southern tip of Baja California, but it was down to 55°f last night and everyone had heavy jackets on the beach this morning at sunrise.

Now you're living in sweat city.

We moved from LI, NY to sweat city (Sanford, then Deltona) ourselves 17 years ago.
Then away from sweat city back to LI, NY again.

People who live there have heavy jackets?

The forecast here is for 6° by tomorrow morning. It's 47° now. We had so much rain last night that there are puddles all over the backyard. I don't remember ever seeing that before.

It's scheduled to begin again in a couple of hours. I'm glad I'm staying home today.

It's all rain here in southern New Hampshire but the heavy downpours and 50- to 60-mph gusts are causing the expected power outages (not for us, yet) with severe flooding from rain and snow melt.

They're telling us to expect the temperature to drop from 50 to the teens, within a few hours early this evening calling it a "flash freeze." Part of climate change's new normal?

We live on the barrier island to Long Island near Long Beach. It rained really hard early this AM about 5:00 AM. The streets are just wet, not flooded. A friend of ours sent us some video & pictures from her house in Howard Beach. Water up to about 18”. She said it was like Sandy all over again.
My niece, a teacher in Queens, NY, said her director called and asked if she could go in early. There were cars in the director’s area that were floating around.
Rain is supposed to end here by 1:00 PM the cold. In the teens 13°. Not like Samantha90 but cold enough for us.

At 7:00 the outdoor thermometer read - 7 degrees F in Fort Wayne Indiana The wind is fierce. We have curtains on all the windows and doors that have glass. So far the geothermal is keeping up. I am glad we added insulation to the attic.
