This is not about excellent photography but about the lives of animals living in the streets. This cat, we call him Pancho, came to our front door a few months ago. He was hungry and we fed him. Since there are around 14 cats leaving in the streets in our neighborhood eventually Pancho met other female cats and now we have some more cats identical to him. One day I took him to the Animal Control building of the city of Miami to be neutered. I picked him up the following day and returned him to his environment. Notice he has a cut in his the left ear from the procedure. That identifies him as a street cat that has been neutered and vaccinated.

Every single day he comes to our front door and we feed him. I have also a plastic plate for him to take water when in need. We have our own cat and that is enough for us but we do not neglect this one. Pancho is already part of our lives.
Little by little I have taken the female cats to be neutered. Their kittens usually die when the mother abandon them since they do not have the experience to survive like the old ones and nobody in my neighborhood care for these cats except us and one of my neighbors.

So, here is Pancho resting by our garage door. As I open the front door this morning he will be there waiting to be fed. If it is improper to post this here I apologize and I ask the administration to feel free to move my post to where they consider it is necessary

Thank you for helping the community cats. I live in a neighborhood with many community cats and several neighbors do as you do: feed, take in for neutering and vaccinations, and give them a warm place to sleep. The coming nights here in Savannah (GA) will be sub freezing and our cats may not survive.

We had a feral cat, Harvey, adopt us.
He lived outside and adopted the whole property as his and guarded it.
In the winter he lived under the pavilion table covered with a tarp and a electric heated bed.
And yes for breakfast and dinner he was at the door.
Followed us like a puppy around the yard.
Enjoyed the photo and story.
This is the correct place to post this.

He's beautiful! And so was your story. My Bootsie is a Rescue, and my heart goes out to all those homeless kitties out there.
Thank you for caring.

A great story and beautifully photographed cat. He does indeed look healthy and well fed. Your kindness will be rewarded someday. Ours is a rescue cat and I am absolutely certain they are aware of how lucky they are

Thank you ladies and gentlemen for the kind words. Lets all remember that the Lord placed birds and animals on this planet before he created man. I do not have the heart to see an animal suffering or neglected. I do the best I can to feed them and care for them.
The cat we have, Missy, was also a street kitten. My wife found her in my neighbor's sidewalk, hardly 3 weeks old, dehydrated and hungry. She brought her home not expecting she would survive, so weak she was. She survived and now she has been with us for the past 5 years.

When I die God will ask me about my sins but I am sure we will also discuss with me what I did for these poor animals.

God also gave man dominion over the animals. What you are doing is an example of that.

Many years ago I realized that in nearly every case, you can judge the character of a person by how they treat animals. Very seldom do you find a person that is kind to animals but mistreats other people. Kudos to you!

Thank you once again. We are actually feeding and caring for 14 cats. They live in our neighborhood and as I said we have taken the majority of them to be neutered. Many of them sleep in our backyard and we protect them the best we can.
I agree with the lady who said "we all live in one world."

Very nice shot William - once you feed them you have a friend for life. That's how I came to own my first and only cat, whom I still think of fondly.
