Nikon D500 problem

Greetings from DownUnder! Cruising for Christmas and the small rubber “grasp” piece for opening the SD card slot, came out! Tried putting it back in but it’s too thick to put back with tweezers and my fingers. My question: Will this opening harm the camera? If anyone can help me, I’d be very thankful. …for about $30 bucks on e-bay here in the US you can get a whole replacement part…check out the link and maybe you can figure something out on your end…

Call Nikon direct in the US at 1-800-645-6687. Ask the experts. They know that camera much better than folks here.
I am not aware of the number for DOWNUNDER.
