From Coronado Island, we drove to Point Loma and down to the Cabrillo National Monument. This National Park honors the 1542 landing of Juan Cabrillo, the first European to set foot on the west coast. It is a wonderful view point of the San Diego Bay. Also, the historic lighthouse provides many great photo ops.
The visitors' center was a good viewpoint and home of a rare Shaw's agave and a friendly gopher snake.

Another fine set Mike that brings back some fond memories. Last time I was there I ran face to face with a rattlesnake!
