My friend Russel is building a model of the "City Of Adelaide" clipper ship that we're restoring down at Dock 2, Port Adelaide.
Overall, it's about 2 meters in length, still a lot to do but it's looking very good.
Unfortunately, the room he's working in is very small and I couldn't get back far enough to take some over-all pics of it but that will happen when we move it into the main display room.

Very nice!! He has way more patience than I do!! I think your friend did a great job!!

Is there an ETA for finishing of the real City of Adelaide?

If all goes to plan we'll get it up on land in May or June 2023. We can then finish it off to the extent we plan to do...one side will be restored to how it was and the other side will be left as is is today.
The inside will be a museum with the saloon deck being fully restored.

Very interesting! I've always wanted to do a model like that. I don't know if I would have the patience to finish though!

I built a smaller one several years ago but like you, I don't have the patience these days...

Looks good to me, Ron. How long did it take to do yours? Was it a kit or scratch built? I've been looking into plans and supplies for a scratch built, but it won't happen before we retire the RV and move into a house. I have a complete, very well equipped woodworking shop in storage.

Thanks Chief, mine was a kit, all individual planking, etc...From memory, at least a couple of months on and off.
These pics are old scanned and scratched colour slides so no Exif date to see any dates.
It's just under 3' long
