Lake Powell is very low ,we were told last April if the water level drops 30 more inches they will have to shut down
the generators.
Good work on an unfortunate situation!
Nice set. It's a real shame, though. Overuse and drought caught up.

The whole West is in a bad drought. Hopefully things are about to change.

Can't the politicians understand that its to many people putting to much demand on mother nature .
Nice photos, but perhaps it shouldn’t have been built in the first place.
A fine set - nicely captured!
How do you figure the draught will soon be over?
Climate change is not a short term event.
I suggest a nuclear reactor be built and the damn decommissioned by using it as target practice for dam buster runs from there air force.
Too bad the canyon cannot be restored to its original beauty.
There will come a time when the massive population growth in the great southwest will finally render these dams useless. I can't understand why people would build new homes in Phoenix, Tucson, Las Vegas, St George, not to mention California. Without these dams there wouldn't be enough water for drinking, electricity or agriculture. They are necessary, and yes they tend to use large tracts of land, but what would the solution be when they do run out of water?
