Hi! This is the first time I've posted here. These are my pet rats, Shira and Chava. Shira, who has a blaze on her forehead, is incredibly intelligent, mischievous, affectionate, and her favorite hobby is shredding paper. Chava has amazing curly whiskers, is laid-back, calm, very gentle, rather vain, and her favorite hobbies are sleeping and bathing herself.

Isn't it amazing how many sentient animals are capable of more affection than we know? There is a bat info group nearby with an electronic gadget to drop their (recorded) sounds down to where we can hear them. When happy, they purr.

It certainly is amazing. There are also many studies on rat communication. They communicate with each other ultrasonically, and apparently they are quite talkative. And they make a distinctive ultrasonic sound when they're being tickled - rat laughter!
