Tried an experiment. I took a false color IR photo taken several years ago and ran it through an AI colorizer just to see what would happen. Well it turned out far better than I hoped. The first Pic is the original false color IR. The second is after the colorization.

Interesting. Not sure how the "false color IR" is arrived at, but the result of your experiment somewhat surprised me.

Generally "false color IR" is full spectra [Hotmirror removed] camera perhaps with a 520 nm filter well explained here: https://kolarivision.com/choosing-an-infrared-filter

waite-s, a great effect from the AI Colorzer... can you give a reference, please.

waite-s, a great effect from the AI Colorzer... can you give a reference, please.

The photo was taken with a modified lumix point and shoot camera, and in post the red channel was suppressed and the blue channel maxed. This was done in Corel PhotoPaint. The colonization was done with AI Photo Enhance. I was quite surprised at the result myself.
