This is Pena. You've seen her before if you've been around here a while. Its not a terribly sharp shot but I like it. Very little fiddling, just a bit of additional flare to the backlight and minimal selective sharpening and the usual adjustment layers.

I still do an occasional steampunk shoot but they tend to be too far away, I don’t do the miles I used to! Plenty on file though, I’ll dig one or two out for you Curmudgeon.

Wonderful portrait. I find the feather in front of her face a bit of a distraction. But certainly not the end of mankind as we know it.

You find the feather more of a distraction than the bright spot at the edge?

I did think of removing it but decided it was part of the hat, so let it be. If I was printing it I’d remove the feather though Frank.

The feather across the forheld is not at all distracting to me. It actually contributes to the naturalness of the lavishly feathered headgear. The entire character strikes me as if plucked from one of Europe's Royal Picture Galleries. Well done.
