exceptional shots. particularly like the first one.
The Sandia Mountains adjacent to Albuquerque, NM is full of wildflowers. And the monkshoods are usually everywhere, or at least they were about two months ago. It's a beautiful flower, however it is toxic. It's really a joy to be hiking through the mountain and come across a meadow filled with monkshood, purple geraniums, rattlesnake orchids and irises plus brown bear now and then. The monkshood usually grow at the 9000 foot and higher level.
Wildflower photography along with macro lenses can be a photographers delight and certain a challenge. To get good at macro is a form of photography that few photographer ever master. From your monkshood photos, you are going the right direction.

Thanks everyone, I am just learning my way around UglyHedgehog--found all of this in my spam-- (I fixed the problem)
These images were taken with nikon's D300 and Tamron's 180 mm macro lens.
Thanks for looking in! Jennifer
