I download from the camera to Bridge
From there I can go direct to Camera RAW. Fine so far.

Now if I open an existing image into Bridge, I get: Now how do I get this image into the Camera Raw editor?

Suggestions appreciated please. I use CS6

Ancient unsupported software is probably going to be difficult to resolve, especially trying to integrate with current software.

A qualifying product would be a paid, licensed, registered Adobe product that is compatible with THAT VERSION of Adobe Camera Raw. Newer versions of ACR will not work with old versions of Photoshop.

CS6 is no longer supported. While it might run, if it doesn't, subscribe or use something else.

If you are on a Mac, a GREAT alternative raw editor is Raw Power, a $30 program written by the folks who used to write Apple's old Aperture program. Raw Power can be a stand-alone app, or it can be triggered from Apple Photos as a plug-in.

If you want non-subscription software, try Affinity Photo 2.0. It has a newly-designed raw editor.

That warning used to pop up on every software upgrade. The answer was to do a stupidly trivial image edit and save in photoshop which would then allow ACR access as expected.

Now the rub, as pointed out by previous posts, will be if adobe no longer recognizes your software.

Simplest approach: Subscribe to Adobe for access to its latest software versions. Adobe continually upgrades and fixes its software automatically. I believe Adobe reaches back to open files from an earlier software version.

Cheaper is to use bridge to organize, CS6 to edit, and give-up on 1-click automation & integration.

I also use Ps CS6 and ACR 9.1.1 runs fine with Windows 10. BUT Mine is a linencesd copy that I have been using since 2012. I bought it new from Adobe on a factory DVsc.D Rom disc. These are the last versiinscI can use with this set up. Any newer camera and I'll need Ps CC subscription. You may have some setting or preference wrong but you may not be able lik e to get it working. Beyond my skill level.

Make certain you are using Camera Raw Version 9.1.1.461 or earlier. Later versions will not work in CS6. While in Bridge click Edit>Camera Raw Preference. The screen that opens will show your version at the top. If all else fails you can always convert your RAW files to DNG using the Adobe Converter.

Use the Adobe DNG converter, or get a newer Elements.
