I'm sure that this is a dumb question, but here goes anyway.
How do I create a new layer?
I have 2 Pictures.
If I open one and want to add small a logo to the one just opened on a second layer, for instance.
I use Paint Shop mostly for adjusting and resizing + printing and have never had a need to use a layer.
Trying the "Help" has me befuddled.
Thanks

Uner the edit menu I believe there is an option to paste a previously copied image as a new layer. With both your image and logo open, copy the logo and paste onto the image as new layer.

To duplicate in Paint Shop: If you don't all ready have the layers section on, left click on F8 or click on Palettes, then click on layers. The layers section will be in the right side, now just right click on the layer and a new menu will pop up, select duplicate. A new layer will show up in the layer panel. Left click on the word in that layer will allow you to rename it or double left click will bring up the Layer Properties panel. There you can rename the layer and many other things can be changed. I find Paint Shop very useful for all of my photo edits.

Corel has a series of tutorials and webinars on working with layers on their website. Go to: https://learn.corel.com/photo-tutorials/ and scroll down to the area labeled Working with Layers. A word of caution- as you scroll down you will have to stay focused, as you will pass so many other interesting tutorials, you might never reach your destination.
