Can someone here tell me why trading one evil minded sick SOB Viktor Bout for pot head Brittney Griner was in our nations best interest? Neither Joe Biden nor our highly esteemed VP made mention of that during the press conference relating to the matter.

If we had a gay, female, black President and your white, female daughter were imprisoned in Russia, it would be OK for the President to not bring her home because the President didn't like your daughter's race, sex, and sexual orientation? This deal has nothing to do with political correctness. It has to do with a President bringing home an imprisoned American citizen. You may not like Griner because she is black, female, gay and outspoken, but she is an American citizen nonetheless. A President has a responsibility towards every American citizen, and one who picks and chooses which American citizens to bring home based on their race, sex, sexual orientation, and political persuasion isn't doing his job.

I don't think you get it. A very big gun dealer for a small time vape smuggler is a lopsided deal. One for one doesn't compute. We should also have gotten the marine. That would have been more equitable. I wouldn't have taken the deal the Russians offered, but they were banking on the political pressure that Biden was under....and how weak he was. They figured correctly. And the Chinese are watching.
