This was taken in 2010 using an old 28-105/3.5-4.5 Nikon lens on a D700 body. It was fun to see that if used properly, even gear that today is regarded as "old, antiquated" relics was still capable of getting great shots. ISO 400, f8 at 28mm while hanging out of one of the tiny little crown windows.

Good thing I got it right then - there is no way I can climb the 393 steps humping my gear these days.......

Great capture. I really like the angle of this and that you got the torch and part of her crown too.

Great perspective, Rick. I'm with you. I've taken my last trip up to the Crown.

Good work, Rick. You've provided a view rarely, if ever, seen by most.
