What kind of train is this

I think it is either for laying or picking up rail or both, 6 cars behind the engine and they are not hooked together by a normal coupler, the ends of 2 cars sit on one set of trucks and there are 6 cars hooked together. The last car has a crane for lifting the rail. If you know more about this than I do, fill all of us in.
