While the bright white in the first photo bothers my eyes a little, I think the second shot is a real winner. This would do very well in the nature category of most camera clubs!

Thank you. I'm not much of a post processor. I use Picasa only and couldn't lower the light in the background without darkening the bird too much. I guess I could crop the right side some.
But I like it anyway!

Thanks, Mike. I've said before that if I had known how much computers were involved in digital photography, I wouldn't be here!
