Lovely. I particularly like the Capital Building. Beautiful way to honor the fallen.

Thanks again, Pat for hosting this challenge and thanks also to Larry for hosting
Free Sundays, and Lesley for hosting Duo-Tone Images.

What a wonderful way to celebrate this time of year! Red and Green are two of
my favorite colors, and my first inclination was to show some Christmas scenes,
but after your intro, I figured, "Hey, why not?"

Hope you enjoy!
Tim

Great variety and great processing!

As far as I know, we don't have Cardinals out here in the west. What a beautiful friend.
And...then there's nothing better than New England in the fall. We have beauty out here in the Pacific Northwest but it's hard to find real bright reds and oranges. I miss that. Thanks.

Love close-ups like this. There's something very special in the simplicity.

Thanks Lesley Photogirl17 for the reminders associated with "duo tones" last week. Larry, many thanks for hosting yet another Free Sunday.

And here we are - almost at the end of another year. The colors red and green predominate in this season. But it's not just holiday decorations etc. that are red and green.

You are a creative bunch so let's see your red AND green (both colors should be in the posted image).

Beautifully festive 💓💚💓💚💓

They're gorgeous, but I really love it when you go totally berserk, as in the last two 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈

Sorry Pat, but this image came immediately to mind - so many emotions ravage my brain, from the moment and from subsequent times. It's rash of me, I know, but maybe this is my chance to show an outrageous bit of PP.

It was early days for home scanning and digital manipulation. I had this way-overblown and thin B&W negative and wanted to bring out the silhoueted figure on the bank at Victoria Falls (1954). I don't now know what I did, but here are two results from the image taken by a friend with my camera (a Kodak bellows something-or-other, fixed shutter but a few stops to f22). In those days, the opposite bank carried a thick rain forest (sadly, long gone) and so trying to take a portrait from within the forest and with the falls in the background meant dealing with heavy contrast, not properly appreciated at the time.

A hand more experienced than mine could have dealt with it, even using my camera, but anyway, blame me for the poor camera setting, credit my friend with the composition, and blame me again for the PP - although I take credit for the red and green (!). Maybe I could do better now, but where's that old negative gone?
Sorry Pat, but this image came immediately to mind... (show quote)

I love the color in the first, but I prefer the second which, IMHO, has an air of great mystery to it

Pat, that is certainly an entertaining photo of your brain, but I believe much more info might be obtained by an MRI scan.
But, I believe I have a few archived photos that fit this category and, likely, have been posted before because the set contains some of my favorites. Hope you enjoy them.

Magnificent set - and one of the best hibiscus shots I have ever seen ⭐🏆🔥🏆⭐
