Aly ….. Raw and Unedited

Comments welcome
Mackie,
I like everything about this photo except how her legs are being cut off. It looks a bit strange.

Agree. Thanks, Paul.
It's a really nice classic figure study. Not at all a cliche. The model looks great, you captured her very well. Just move her over a bit!
Hands are well posed; they are too often overlooked. I like her wistful hair. She is an attractive model.
The background is stark and nonexistent... adding a textured one would enhance her. The snippet of hair peaking from her back picture-left can be cloned out since it adds nothing to the photo; that which does not add detracts.
I look forward to seeing more of her, also more of her in the sense of the one nipple peak out of her left bra.

Excellent advice. And I didn't even notice her left nipple!!

We will reshoot this week and will try to get her whole figure. Thanks.
It needs some eye contact?

I was going to say something like this about the scene. When shooting anyone who is posing just for your camera, pay attention to the background. Don’t just plop your subject in front of a wall and on a fairly unattractive floor and pop the shutter. A high percentage of comments on uhh are about the backgrounds in these photos. Take those comments to heart, and if it is just as you wanted, defend them convincingly. If maybe it is accidental or (gasp) carelessly included, it may be the right time to reevaluate. Surely in your studio there is a more appropriate setting for a young lady to disrobe. If she sees that you are going to the effort of doing something for her images, I believe she will be the more enthusiastic for it.
My opinions only.
Nice shot, but why shoot raw if you don’t edit?

Thanks. I meant “unembellished”. I used the wrong term. Good point.

I agree, never cut anything off at a joint. above or below ok... That was week 3 in posing class.
