Adorable children! I love the catchlight in most of their eyes. No flash on the last one?

The first one is perfect. Her eyes and smile are amazing! On the second one I sort of feel like the background is awfully busy. And yet I understand you wanting to get the Halloween flavor to the photo. The third is very nicely done. The background gives a fall/Halloween theme but is not excessive amounts of stuff. The fourth is a great pose and nice composition. It appears that it was focused on his arms leaving the face a bit out of focus. If you were going for soft focus the arms should have also been soft focused. I think I would prefer a crisp focus on the subject. I love the background on this one. The leaves seem to almost sparkle. I think a fill flash might have been nice to get his face out of the shadows. The fifth has a nice background. That pesky old sun interfered with a nearly perfect shot. The hair is pretty well fried on her right side and the sun on her nose and right side of face are not a good look. It's hard to avoid problems with the contrast of sun and shade being this intense. Some fill flash would have helped, especially with the sun on her face, by lightening the shadows. However, the sun on her hair would pretty much look like that anyway. It's good to try to avoid direct sun on a subject that is mostly in shade. I love the last shot but wish you had used fill flash to lighten it up. If you have editing software you could probably fix that up nicely. All in all they are very good photos and with a few editing tweaks could be great photos.

#1 - very pretty little lady. She has the same skin tones as my youngest, tricky in bright sunlight as just a little to much and you blow out the skin. You have some hot spots on the side of her nose forehead and cheeks but over all they don't take away from the image. You did crop off her fingers, her hand and her foot. Try to avoid cropping and natural joints. :(

#2 - I really like the angle you have her to the camera, it really works here. Her eyes have great light in them, wonderful! Watch the tree growing out of her head and you cropped off her fingers. :)

#3 - cute little guy. His leg position looks odd, but it's hard getting a shot of them around this age, if your like me you take what you can get. It's a great shot.

#4 - You've got some blotchy sun spots on his face and arms and there isn't enough light in his eyes. The tree is growing out of his head. I like his pose, he seems relaxed.

#5 - Pretty young lady. You missed the focus on her eyes, they seem a little soft compared to the other photos posted. Hot spots on her face and arms. Your crop right at the wrists, watch that, it makes the image look ackward (cropping at any natural joint).

#6 - Love it, everyone has their legs closed (no crotch shots, you get a prize for that), everyone is looking at the camera, everyone is in focus! I think it just needs to be lightened up a little with some editing.

Over all these are great! You did a wonderful job.
