I have all the forms and release permits you will need. Professionally prepared and critiqued by an attorney.

Thank you! I have a wealth of knowledge at my fingertips, why not take advantage of it?

Of course, (in my opinion), the main thing in your dancer shoot is to get her face right (lighting, expression, composition, etc.)--especially her eyes. So long as her photos have good face, the rest is usually acceptable. The best way to get good face is to have fun.

Stardust, thanks very much for your post. I didn't at all mean to imply that i'm a "nanny censor". If you and your model are cool with doing explicit work together, that's great!
No, didn't mean that, was explaining why MM allows more explicit photos than like Facebook, etc. You stated you were surprised they were allowed.

Although I have shot a number of nudes in my earlier days, now don't have a studio so more limited to "glamour" type. Plus now 90% of my photography is travel related.

BTW been interesting to watch you come out of your shell since your original post. I seldom follow a thread this long but excited for you. One last word of caution... don't ever be left alone with a minor when shooting. They were teenagers when we were younger, but today they are like going on 25-30, wise to the world. If unhappy with anything, they know they can ruin your life with one word to someone even if untrue. Just based on observation.

Thanks so much stardust! I’m really looking forward to shooting my first ballet dancer and then figuring out how to post photos here so you all can tell me what I did wrong so I could do better the next time!!

I second the motion about alone with under 18. have a parent there the whole time.

second, I do not know how many people know this about MM.
when you look at other photographer's photos or model's photos,
when you click on one to see it larger, you can click on a line at the top right ( on computers ) where it says
"add to list" and make a list of photos YOU like, it will exist on the bottom left of your profile below the "friends list"
that way you can show others what you want to try if some one else did it already......
for instance, my MM # is 273944
on the bottom left below my friends list, there is a list of over 200 photos that other people took that I really like and want to do. many of these I have already done and want to do more of.
my list is called "what I can do with your help" and I often tell models to look at that list for examples of what I mean......

by the way, they get notified that their photo got added to a list, and they do have the choice to remove their photo from YOUR list :-)

MM stands for Model Mayhem

https://www.modelmayhem.com/

a web site that introduces models to photographers to makeup and hair to clothing designers......
you make a profile there for free with a few sample photos.
you can search for others, you can make a 'casting call' for an event you want to do.....
all free till you want more features....
had mine in limited mode for almost 10 years
met many models that way for trade and for pay ( photogs pay models usually )

you can search by member number, mine is 273944

I’m having issues with what you described in MM. I click on add to list but I can’t find them in the lower left corner. I was able to create an album, I just can’t find the photos I clicked on! I’ll look tomorrow, I’m obviously doing something wrong.
