Does that include any and all updates, upgrades and support for the app? There's no mention of that in the information page using the link. I'm quite reluctant to jump on it because it is for MS 2021 and no indication of keeping it up with improvements.

Microsoft is re-branding Office to Microsoft 365. Needing to install PowerPoint on a work computer, I had to get a link from my company's asset manager in order to NOT be pointed to the online version. It seems Microsoft is doing everything it can to move to a cloud-based service, which I found unsatisfactory using it this past year. You have to upload everything to OneDrive, and as is true with most Microsoft products, the service is confusing, highly unreliable, and mediocre at best.

If you doubt me, just try to find a source online for purchasing and downloading on-premise Office apps

I assume that it is for ms 2021 only as ms is moving to an online subscription model and just trying to milk it for what it is worth. I have been watching the price go down by $10. every other month. Maybe by January 1st the cost will be free.

Tried to purchase a copy, but what a pain! Did the registration thing, opting to pay by paypal and it refuses the transaction saying it is unable to calculate sales tax and to try again or contact support. Thought it might be good to update my copy but all this hassle is making me skittish. Maybe the old adage - "If it sounds too good to be true..."?

That would figure. I have to maintain the subscription version for work and my HOA because I am on the board.

Oh-my!!, improvements that you will never use are too important... huh!!!

I paid $39... works well quite legal.

Did anybody buy a copy recently? I wanted to buy a copy but I thought it's not legit. I don't care about update. I currently use the 2010 version and it's OK but if I buy new computer I can no longer transfer to the new computer because MS website for activation 2010 is no longer available.

I just bought it and it's installed, I think. My Office 2016 icons are on my desktop but they start programs that look new. There are no MS Office entries in my start menu, 2016 0r 2021.

When you open any office product, click on account and you should see what version you are running.

I use Office Libre which works well with the MS office documents.

You probably didn't notice that it said that it is for Widows 10 and earlier and that it is for only one machine. Undoubtedly it is being frozen and there will be no updates. In the not too distant future it will probably not install on any system.

I liked Microsoft Word and excel 2010 better than what I got from Techspot.

$29 was low enough I even bought a copy. I haven't even used Office in ages, being a Libre Office user. But the install file and key will sit comfortably in my file system until I put it some place.
