Abe's of Maine is struggling to get up and running. They just opened today. I had an order with them, but they suggested I cancel and reorder in a few weeks.

Jerry, is this a local store? Because Abe's of Maine has been around for 35 years, that I know of.

I've been to the Abe's which is actually in Maine, and I think they have a store in NJ. Yes, it is the store that's been around for years. We went to the ME store to get a new camcorder - a big VHS. When the salesman showed us that the VHS battery weighed the same as the entire 8mm camcorder, we made the switch. I don't know how they work their mail order. Maybe it's all out of NJ.
I guess they moved out of that big store in Maine, to Brooklyn and then to Edison, NJ.

As I said they are in NJ, haven't been in ME since 1986 but you gotta admit Abe's of Maine has a different connotation than Abe's of New Jersey

I have purchased many items (Mostly cameras and accessories) from them since the late 1980s. Always certious and great prices. I wish the a quick and full recovery from this situation as I do to all the people that are suffering due to Sandys wrath.
