Walking his dog on 42nd St.
I think that cropping out the figures on either side would result in a better image. Is there any more at the top?
Great shot but needs more heads and less sidewalk. Well done!

Thanks for the cc. I think I do like this better. It makes the dog more apparent. What do you think? There is no more at the top though. Original wasn't cropped at all.

Thanks! CC always welcome. I'm new to street shooting and find it most challenging. I don't live in a city so I don't get a lot of practice. I was trying something new that day, shooting from hip level using flip screen on Z6 w/ 28mm. Some success, need more practice.

Hi Alan,
Just my opinion, but I like the original better because of the composition. You have layers that add to your story telling. You have the forefront which has a figure on the left which frames the the dog walker. the lets say the middle ground which has the subject. And the background which shows people not phased by the dog walker. That is a great slice of life. Great job!!! And that's my opinion.
Check out this You tube on Alex White's work

Who's walking who?? Good catch Alan. Wish you had more room on the left to crop out the man and still have some travel room for the man and his dog.

Sorry I’ve not got back to you before.
I do think however now it is too tight a crop, and feel it would be better if cropped as near as possible to the persons on the right and left of the image, without actually showing them.
Great pity there’s not a little more room at the top.
